What Is Botox? How It Works & What It Treats
Botox is a purified form of botulinum toxin type A — an injectable that temporarily blocks the nerve signals telling specific facial muscles to contract. When a muscle can't contract as forcefully, the skin above it stops folding, and the lines caused by that folding soften or disappear entirely.
It treats dynamic wrinkles — the lines created by expression: forehead lines from raising your brows, frown lines from concentrating, crow's feet from smiling. Over time, repeated folding turns those dynamic lines into static lines that stay visible at rest. Brow Lift & Asymmetry Correction
A neurotoxin brow lift works by relaxing the muscles that pull the brow down — the ones at the tail of the brow and between the eyes — so the muscles that lift it can work unopposed. The result is a lifted brow tail, a more defined arch, and a noticeably more open eye area, all without surgery.

What to Expect Before, During & After Treatment
A Botox appointment at A-Class takes about 20–30 minutes total — most of which is assessment and mapping. The injections themselves take under ten minutes, and there's no downtime. Most patients come on a lunch break.
Avoid blood thinners and alcohol for 48 hours to reduce bruising. Arrive with clean skin — no makeup on the treatment areas. Booking around an event? Come in at least 2–3 weeks ahead.
Assessment and mapping come first — each side of your face evaluated independently. Then a series of quick injections with a very fine needle, typically 5–10 minutes depending on how many areas you're treating.
